UNH Faces Maine in Wednesday Night Rivalry (7 P.M.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team returns home for two straight games starting with the long-time rival Maine Black Bears on Wednesday evening at Lundholm Gymnasium. Tip off is at 7 P.M. on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

STORYLINES
The Wildcats improved to 5-1 in America East and 14-5 overall with Sunday's 51-50 win at Stony Brook.
Wildcats are 7-0 at home. They were 14-2 at home last year.
UNH allows 55.1 points a game, best in the league and 14th in the country.
The Wildcats are on a season-high, four-game win streak.
In each of its last three wins, UNH has scored the deciding points with less than 10 seconds to play.
UNH posted a program-best record of 26-6 in 2016-17.
The Wildcats won their first outright America East regular season championship with a 15-1 league record last season.
Coach Maureen Magarity was named America East Coach of the Year.

Pogue Leads 'Cats in Loss to Maine

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds, but it wasn't enough and the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team lost to Maine, 56-46, in Lundholm Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

The Wildcats are 14-6 overall and Maine is 12-8. The teams are each 5-2 in America East and are tied for second place in the league. UNH is now 7-1 at home this season.

Senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) had nine points and four rebounds. Senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) had nine rebounds. Freshman guard Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) scored a season-high seven points. The Wildcats played without senior guard Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) who missed the game with an illness.

PREVIEW: UNH Hosts Binghamton for Alumni, Spread Respect Game

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team looks to bounce back after their first home loss of the season as they host the Binghamton Bearcats Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 P.M. The game will be the annual celebration of UNH women's basketball alumni, and also the annual America East "Spread Respect" game. Saturday's game will be available on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

STORYLINES
UNH is 5-2 in America East and 14-6 overall after Wednesday night's 56-46 home loss to Maine.

Fogarty, Healy Pace 'Cats in Loss to Binghamton

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds and senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball came up just short against Binghamton, 54-52, on Saturday afternoon in Lundholm Gymnasium.

The Wildcats and Bearcats now have identical records of 14-7 overall and 5-3 in America East.

Senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) also scored in double figures with 14 points and had three rebounds.

Senior guard Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) drove down the middle and scored on a layup with 19 seconds left to tie the game at 52-52.

At the other end, Binghamton's Imani Watkins was fouled while attempting to shoot a three-pointer with just under one second remaining. She made two of her three foul shots and finished with 35 points.

'Cats Fall at Hartford, Face Albany at Home Saturday

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) scored 15 points and had nine rebounds and senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 13 points and eight rebounds, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball dropped an 85-49 decision to the University of Hartford on Wednesday night at Chase Arena.

UNH is now 14-8 overall and 5-4 in America East. Hartford is also 14-8 overall and improves to 6-3 in the league.

Senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) joined Healy and Pogue in double figures with 12 points.

The Wildcats never led in the game and were down 42-21 at halftime.
