what's your take on this :

Maine lawmaker's shocking anti-Trump Facebook rant draws outrage

...The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the situation, but officials did not comment, citing an investigation into the matter.

Hamann did not reserve all of his vitriol for Trump, adding of the president's supporters, "I just can't deal with you ignorant people anymore."

Hamann praised President Obama, saying he “ran quite possibly the classiest 2 term presidency in US history.”

The Facebook posts have since been deleted, but screen grabs of the exchange were forwarded to Conservative talk radio host Keith Hanson, who hosts both “First Look" and “The Keith Hanson Show” on Fox News affiliate radio stations WNTK and WUVR in New Hampshire and Vermont. Hanson shared the images with Fox News, as well as Hamann's bosses the statewide hunger relief organization, Good Shepard Food Bank, where Hamann serves as a program director.

Maine state rep suggests in Facebook rant he would harm Trump

...“You’re a f—cking pussy. And you people are destroying America,” Hamann wrote. “100% of intelligent Americans agree that Trump is a complete loser.”

The statements came in a moment of political uproar nationally, following the revelation that during the 2016 campaign the president’s son had met with a Russian lawyer with the hope of receiving information damaging to then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

And they land roughly a month after a gunman opened fire on a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, leaving five people wounded, including U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-Louisiana.

Maine GOP Chair Demi Kouzounas decried Hamann’s statements as “unhinged and dangerous” and, through a spokeswoman, called on Speaker of the House Sara Gideon, D-Freeport, to ask for Hamann’s resignation.

Legislator from South Portland blasted for anti-Trump rant on Facebook
Maine Republicans call for Rep. Scott Hamann to resign after the Democrat suggests in a vulgar post that he would hurt the president.

....“The Maine Democratic Party does not condone this kind of discourse – period,” Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett said in a prepared statement. “Rep. Hamann’s comments were unacceptable and do not represent our values as a party. He has rightly apologized for them and removed the post.”

Dave Watson, the resident agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service field office in Portland, said his agency had been made aware of Hamann’s comments. Watson said his office also was receiving phone calls from the general public about the post.

“We are looking into it, but as to whether an investigation has been opened, I can’t comment on that,” Watson said. “But we have been getting messages.”

Does it matter? Neither party has a social media moral high ground.
