LOL.....I knew that you would throw Cindy's hat in the ring. ;)

At least Blake got a vote.

Whitehead in my opinion, as far as where that team once was, to where it is now, it is probably the worst descent without any fathomable excuse.

What's the beef with the swim coach?

Just goes to show that no coach is safe on this board, including the swim coach who
most of us wouldn't even know who the heck he or she is :D

In all seriousness, there must be some ultimatums made from the AD to the coaches as well as from the Pres to the AD, if that is who Blake reports to?

With hockey and Whitehead the downturn is responsible for a 10% loss in season tickets and a supposed 10K less in gate for each game. That number will get worse next season, w/ myself on the fence about renewing season tickets. The idea of shelling out $19 a game and then selling tickets 2 for 1 was a kick in the crotch to season ticket holders.
On the positive side this team returns everyone except 4 players so with 24 frosh and sophs next year has to be better. Although the Dr. Jeykl and Mr. Hyde play of Scott Darling makes one wonder if we get the solid first half play or the in the hopper 2nd half play???

With the mens basketball losing just one senior one would expect an improvement over this year but I think that is what was predicting last year as well :(
On the positive side the ticket sales for mens hoop have been deplorable for years so at least there is no expectations to put fans in the stands.

Just think.......if Maine men's hoop could draw 2,500 paying fans per game (not out of the realm of possibility if they actually won some games) then the UMaine athletic department would bring in $300,000 if you based this on 12 home games x $10 per ticket.

If James goes, then Tim and Ted would be on thin ice with the new regime, but I doubt King James is going anywhere. :(
