What an improvement! We've gone from 7-23 last season to 9-20 this season! Maybe next year we can hit double digit wins! Blake James must be proud of the progress that is being made!

Since times are hard and money is tight, I hope he pays his own way or stays home ! Don't see any need for him to be at the game(s ?), unless it's strictly out of personal interest (which would be nice to see I guess, but not on Dept. $$).

If Maine wants to hit double digits in wins the answer is simple. Schedule UMPI for a home and away games. This could really develop into a real rivalry. Travel to the top of the state and take on the mighty Bengals of UMFK. Imagine that, a Bengal vs a Black Bear! I get goose bumps just thinking of the hype. Next stop, you got, it UMaine Machias!!!! Take a trip to beutiful machias and attempt to Clip the CLIPPERS!!! Then if you really want to improve that record, take a stab at UMAINE Augusta!!!!!

XYZ,

Don't laugh I was in college around the mid 90's in southern maine when the Umaine Black Bears lost to Husson (D3), ALaska-Anchorage (D2), and everybody else (D1) in the same year!!! So, it might backfire to schedule all these D3 and D2 small colleges!!!
