Two in a row...

Phoenix lost to William & Mary today in 5OT.

This season isn’t lost yet.

I believe Maine beats Elon and Rhode Island. The defense played much better today but
injuries are hurting Maine again. I think the season and the playoff possibility come down to
the New Hampshire game as both will be positioning for a possible playoff berth in the FCS.
Maine looked impressive today, the defense still needs serious improvement, but 7-5 could
get them into the playoffs.

The league somehow is more balanced this year:

1. James Madison (8-1, 5-0 CAA)
2. New Hampshire (5-3, 4-1 CAA)
3. Richmond (5-4, 4-1 CAA)
4. Albany (5-4, 3-2 CAA)
5. Villanova (6-3, 3-3 CAA)
6. Elon (4-5, 3-3 CAA)
7. Towson (5-4, 2-3 CAA)
8. Stony Brook (5-4, 2-3 CAA)
T9. Delaware (4-5, 2-3 CAA)
T9. Maine (4-5, 2-3 CAA)
11. William & Mary (3-6, 1-4 CAA)
12. Rhode Island (2-7, 0-5 CAA)

The only teams not able to get to seven wins are W&M and URI. Everyone else, by in large, can qualify for postseason. Maine or Elon will be eliminated this Saturday.

Richmond and UNH tied for 2nd, who saw that coming. We beat the Spiders and we would really be talking playoffs. Now we have to win out and see what beating UNH at the dungeon will do for us. 2-12 thru are so close anyone can beat anyone in the CAA.
As Coach Charlton says another Championship game at Elon, beat the Phoenix!!!

1:00 PM Richmond @ Villanova
1:00 PM Albany @ Delaware
1:00 PM Rhode Island @ William & Mary
2:00 PM Maine @ Elon
2:00 PM Towson @ Stony Brook
3:30 PM New Hampshire @ James Madison

The loser of Maine-Elon is out. If Delaware loses, they're out. UNH-JMU is basically for the autobid, though the Dukes are heavy favorites. New Hampshire is at a disadvantage with an 11 game schedule. If they lose down in Harrionsburg, they'll need to win out.

Hope it was not an ACL?
Believe St. Lot came in for him and did a good job. Next man up, really getting a chance to see how this team deals with the adversity.
Just as an FYI, the CAA is 25-6 against other FCS teams. So this stat will certainly help put a couple of 7 win teams in the playoffs. Certainly what Maine did in the playoffs won't hurt either.
But for now the focus is on this week's Championship, the Phoenix ;)

Conflicting reports on the Patterson situation. The BDN reports he's done for the year, other outlets cannot confirm that.

Oh no...teams will be real hesitant to take a chance on an FCS corner coming off a torn ACL. So sorry to hear this. Hope Manny is able to persevere and overcome. Best of luck to #1.
