Let's just Big XII it and not play defense anymore, considering we don't have a real DC.

While I admire and share your enthusiasm, if they win out it will be 5 straight against unranked teams. I think the playoff ship has officially sailed. 7-5 with no quality wins is probably not good enough.

Depends on if New Hampshire and/or Albany are ranked. Both are just outside the Top 25.

Of course it’s a long shot, but it’s still something to shoot for.

I think if Maine runs the table they have a 25-30 percent chance of making the tournament. Why?

1. Committee definitely seems to remember the last year when doing playoff analysis.
2. Committee seems to like late season winning streaks.
3. Two FBS losses hurt less than FCS losses.
4. 5-3 in the CAA is normally good enough.

Need UNH and Albany to keep winning.

I would be happy with a 7-5 season with a lot of momentum heading into next year.

a 7-5 record with a win vs. UNH would not make me happy, it would make me not upset, if that makes sense.

To me, that's the bare minimum this roster should have accomplished.

I went out on a limb last week saying Maine would win 21-20 over Liberty.
Last year William and Mary Beat Maine. I think our QB is much better than William and Mary's QB
but I have a tough time predicting this game mainly because of our Defense. So no prediction. Its a tossup

I don't see us winning 5 in a row just based on the fact the team is not improving week to week. I suppose if Fagnano comes out and lights it up for the 2nd half of the year and defense goes from being 2nd worse in the CAA to a middle of the pack defense than it is possible. We usually see a good performance for Homecoming so this would be the game to see an improvement. Fagnano is the starter according to this article-

Ferguson out for the year. Lisfranc fracture that will require surgery.
