Any word on Grayer's injury, can't really afford another LB to go down.
Rowell would really help our running attack and Murry wouldn't hurt either???

Just read how UNH lost to Holy Cross 13-10. Holy Cross was down 10-6 and gets stopped on 4th and goal at UNH 2 yd line with two minutes left. UNH takes over and promptly fumbles the ball in the end zone and HC recovers the ball for the win. OUCH now that is a tough way to lose a game

UNH won’t be the same without McDonnell. Not that surprised. They just don’t have as much talent as they’ve had in the past.
Maine needs to stop Towson from ripping off big plays. Our safeties and outside backer need to do a better job of filling on outside runs. Up the middle we played well, but really struggled defending the perimeter, on option and stretch plays. Huffman, Carr & Grayer need to react quicker and tackle better. Myles Taylor came in and seemed to do OK as Grayer’s replacement.

This will be the first game played in Orono between two top ten teams. Maine drops one spot to seventh after the loss to Georgia Southern, Towson stays put in eighth after the blowout win over NC Central.

Towson 31 Maine 28.

Unfortunately I feel that Maine's kicking game and penchant for giving up the big play might come back to bite them. :|

It seems to me that the game will likely come down to how much Maine can slow down Flacco and the Towson offense. With linebacker depth, once our strength, now being an issue, one would think that their offensive coordinator will try to get Flacco in space isolated on our backup LBs. If Maine can find a way to contain Flacco; keep him in the pocket, don't allow him to escape the middle if Whitaker and Wiley are upfield on a speed rush, etc., Maine should have a chance in the game. Either way, should be a fun one.

If Deleware can get ND St to come to them, why not Maine? What a great non conference game that would be. That is the level Maine should be at.
Looks like some winnable non con games on this list for the league beyond that one though.

NDSU approached Maine for a home and home back in 2014. Creech didn't want to buy out the contract with Norfolk State. The amount he did to butcher the Maine Football schedule in his four years is astounding.

The difference is that Delaware will have 20K in the stands......which makes a home & home a bit more financially viable.
