Perhaps this was already mentioned but Drew Belcher got a free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals..
Pretty impressive if you think about it. It would be nice to see him get a shot in the NFL...

Belcher making the Cardinals 53 man roster is a massive longshot. Already 3 TE's with 3-9 years NFL experience. Doubtful they take 4. He could, however, make enough of an impression to get picked up by another team that might have more of a need. Arizona just not a good landing spot , despite the great opportunity.

I mean they Cards have one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Probably as good a chance as with any team. Practice squad would be a reasonable goal for Drew.

He signed earlier and it had been posted before, just not in here. I do know the Cardinals scout was watching him intently at the Western Kentucky game, but I also know they just shook up their staff, front office, and scouts. Still amazing to me that those were the only 3 guys off that team signed.

Why would that be surprising?

They didn't graduate a ton of guys, so the only other player who had a reasonable shot is Cody Levy. He looks to have caught on with a team in some other league (CFL, Arena, etc.).

Micah had a great career at Maine but not sure he ever totally recovered from his 2017 knee injury. Great senior leadership and persevered nicely from some off the field issues.

He really never quite looked the same after the injury though still had a solid senior season.

I thought he was a long shot for the NFL but after he ran a 4.4 at pro day and thought he had a chance.
