Maine women comeback to beat Albany 66-51.

Sorry about being late with this but I had to do something for my "Off the Rim" Column for this coming Tuesday about of all things Maine's Memorial Gym's "THE PIT" so I had to watch the women's win and then write the column.

Maine trailed 19-9 after the first 10 minutes but came back strong in the second quarter to take a 34-32 lead and then moved it up to 46-38 at the of 3 as they held the Great Danes to just 6 points to go on to win 66-51 outscoring Albany 57 to 32 after the lst quarter.

The big difference in the game was that Maine shot a blistering 24 for 26 from the foul line for 92.3% to Albany's 8-11 for 72.7% a 16 point difference and Maine won by 15 points.

From the floor Maine went 18-59 for 30.5%, Albany went 20-51 for 37.7%

From beyond the arc Maine was 6-21 for 28.6%, Albany 3-12 for 25%

Sutton lead Main e with 20 points, Millan and Saar each had 16.
Frame lead Albany with 20 and Forester had 19

Maine moves onto the Finals Friday against Hartford at ho,me at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor who edged by Stonybrook at home today 64-58. Maine and Hartford split home games this year.
