Is it probably time to drop baseball and softball? Put the money into Football, Men's and Women's basketball like Vermont and UNH has done.

With the poor spring weather we have been having as "Climate Change"?????????? seems to be making the Northeast a wetter geography and they don't even charge admission and still can't draw much fan interest.

Vermont has also dropped football and rumors have it that they maybe looking to leaving America L'east to join the Atlantic 10.

Vermont adds nothing to the Atlantic Ten.

And if you think New Hampshire has spent more money on its basketball programs, you’re sadly mistaken.

Maine would not have baseball anymore if they didn’t have Mahaney Diamond. You could argue that baseball has the best facilities on campus.

"dunbar": But the A10 adds to Vermont. I don't think that UNH has spent more money on basketball, it is now a football school.

Agree about the Mahaney Diamond reason you posted is the reason that they are keeping baseball. Softball also benefits from Mahaney thru Title 9.

Neither does St. Bonaventure, Fordham, Duquesne, UMass or URI......but yet.....there they are. Vermont IS getting a shiny new on campus arena & Burlington is one of the best college towns in America.....compare that to "the Pit" and Borono......yikes!!! :o

I think that UNH pays their coach $227,000......so they certainly pay a better salary.

The best facility.....and the least amount of success. That should tell administrators something. Duh!

Casals signs deal with Milwaukee Brewers: https://t.co/t1ai1aV2S1

@andrewbadillo99: Was shocked Casals didn't get drafted earlier this month. In his last two years combined he slashed .293/.403/.546 and hit 22 home runs. #mesports #AEBASE #MLB https://twitter.com/andrewbadillo99/sta ... 8265725952
