Mainejeff,
Ha,Ha! I had the same thought, but was going to leave it alone until I saw your message. How will the team ever replace this void? I may be wrong but think PBSC is a junior college.

I guess I don't see the need to pile on the player for trying to do what's best for them...

Perhaps Jeff's post would be more appropriate if he wished the player well, then mentioned that his performance on the field was not up to par, and it's unlikely that it would negatively impact the team.

Palm Beach State by no means is a on the level of UMaine baseball, but probably the best situation for the student athlete for this point of his career. Happy to see the young man doing his best to stay in school while continuing athletics (even at a lower level).... For what it's worth, Palm Beach State is indeed a Junior College (not a JUCO baseball power, but consistently a very good baseball JUCO program) and has also produced 15 MLB players, World Series Champions and 2 MLB All-Stars....

A few others that have found their way in life through Palm Beach State College to bigger things...Burt Reynolds (Actor), Judge Reinhold (Actor), Jesper Parnevik (Pro Golfer) and Yolanda Griffith (One of the greatest Female Basketball players ever)

UMaine baseball hopes for strong regular season finish to earn playoff bye

UMaine baseball is in 3rd place in America East. They are at Hartford this weekend with a chance to climb higher in the standings.

14 straight losses to start the year...might still be able to get a bye in the conference tourney.
