Bolozova finally got a chance to get in the women's game vs. Harvard towards the end of the first half.

Cim, I'd love it if you'd watch that part of the game and give your honest assessment. I'll save my thoughts.

Last year's team would not have won this game. Zero chance.

Maine 75 Fordham 68 in 2 OT's. Plenty of times Maine could have let this slip by but give them credit for sticking in there getting their first win.
Womens win 67-60 shooting 3's from all over the place, McVicar has really stepped her game up, tough as heck for 5'4" ;)

"UMaineSuperFan": I watched both games at the same time streamed on my 2 laptops. Left eye on the men's game and right eye on the women's game.

Women shot the 3 well again for the second game in a row. Tonight 10-24 for 41.7%. Include the NC game 16 of 33 and they are 26 for the arc. Improved their foul shooting went 15-19 for 78.9% compared to 68.4% coming into game.

Maine's 2-3 matchup zone really bothered Harvard and although Harvard had a height advantage they could not finsih well in the paint because Maine defenders kept right after them and the Harvard bigs rushed their shits and floated their shots and did not take power layups. They missed a lot of layups.

Playing another game without their post player 6'1" Wadling Coach Vachon again out coached the Harvard Coach all game long just like she did in the NC game. Maine playing with mostly a face the basket offense except when Barra and Bolozoa were on the floor.

Maine is still very tough defensively even though they gave up 60 tonight. They have adjusted well without Wadling the past few games she has been out.

Maine living by the three is great when they are going in, but am concerned when they aren't what are they going to go to as they have not much of inside, inside-out or dribble penetration games so far this season. I worry about their abuse and over use of the three being a concern when it is the one and done season come tournament time in March. They took 44.4% of their FGA's as 3's tonight and have taken 47.9% of their FGA's as threes so far this year.

They are still only shooting 33.3% for threes for the season. If they are going to continue the barrage of 3's would like to see them to up that game percentage TO 40%, but even then I worry about the one and done season like they had in their 4 tournament games (3 AE games and 1 NCAA game) shooting just 26.6% for the 4 games and only 3-19 15.8% vs. Texas when they got beat fairly easily.

However, Millan could be the MVP of the AE Conference she is playing so well. A definite first team all conference player again. With Wadling out Millan at 6'1"is the biggest starter now although Sutton at 5'10" plays as a 6 plus footer and is the best post up player Maine has even when Wadling is available. Like to see them post Sutton up more.

That's all I had as watching 2 games at the same time is confusing to say the least and you miss more than you think strategy wise.

So what you're saying is that you missed the single biggest adjustment made in either game: Harvard's coach switching up defenses to mirror #11 on Millan all game after she went off in the first quarter?

Harvard's coach was 100% not outcoached during that game; in fact, they made the most important adjustment! It's not Harvard's coach's fault that her post player had happy feet all game and cost them a ton of points or that her players couldn't rebound despite height advantages.
