James Madison football coach is a?????

Postby CFJunior » Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:27 pm

I'm guessing many of you heard the whining and crying from the JMU coach. What an A$$ he is... "looks like us losing to UNH when they were at full strength wasn't taken into consideration, when Colgate and Maine beat them when they weren't." Hey Coach if your team was so good they wouldn't have lost at home to Elon and at UNH! If Delaware doesn't eliminate the Dukes, then it is likely Colgate or NDSU will end JMU's season. What excuse will he have when that happens.

Complete *******. Maine has a better resume than JMU. I think JMU would be a very, very tough game but based on the results this season Maine should get the seed over JMU.

The full strength/injury argument is stupid. Maine could argue the same thing (just about any team can). You think Maine would lose to Yale by 21 if Ferguson was playing? You think they'd lose to CMU, who they held to 190 total yards, if Ferguson was playing?

Seriously, this Maine team was an injury and a bad game from going 11-0. Shut up JMU.

Didn't we knock the UNH QB out of the game? This counts for something.

I am sick of the whole "we played the weaker half of the conference" argument. Its a self-fulfilling thing. You can make the argument that the teams on our side were "weaker" because we beat them. If we flipped schedules and we had the same record, JMU would make the argument they had the tougher side them too. It's just a joke. We also beat Elon and Towson from the "south". Take your spot and be a man.

What I can't stand is the hypocrisy of these arguments. It's happened all season for Maine. Every opponent is "great"....until Maine plays them....and beats them. Then they move on to another comparison that benefits their team....until you provem wrong again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

The blue bloods don't like it when someone spoils their party.

People on the Jax St board feel pretty freaking confident in their ability to advance past Maine. Come on up... we'll be waiting.

Maine is 5-0 against top 25 teams. We beat an FBS team and clearly would have beat another with a QB.

Glad the committee recognized this and were not afraid of the resulting JMU whine-fest.

With that said, JMU probably deserved a seed...just not at Maine's expense.

They all assumed that Big Sky would not get 3 seeds. I'm glad the committee did what they did because one of these years the CAA may have 3 teams deserving of top 8 seeds....especially with the unbalanced schedule.

If Jax St does advance, they are in for a rude awakening coming to Orono. 33 degrees is not something they are going to be used too.

I think the JMU coach thought past performance should have been indicative of future results. Former National champ, runner up last year, so automatically should get a Top 8 seed no matter what. BS. Try winning your FBS game. Try winning the league outright. Try playing 67% of your games on the road and still going 8-3. Then you can run your yapper about being disrespected for not getting a top 8 seed.
