They've got some pretty good talent on the baseball team......anyone think that Trimper may go after a couple of transfers? They would be eligible immediately (2009-2010).

Well, while UMaine certainly has roster space (35 allowed), neither they nor most other D1 teams likely have much if any money kicking around to offer a Vermont kid. Pretty sad and disappointing for both current underclassmen and how'd you like to have been an "incoming" recruit ?

Won't be surprised to see a bunch of these guys immediately opt out of the program (red shirt ?) so as not to waste a year of eligibility in a doomed lame duck program ? Vermont is scheduled to start their final baseball season next weekend (2/27-3/1) against Vanderbilt !, so it will be interesting to see how many guys are left on the bench, or if they even have enough to play their AE schedule this year ?

I read in the BDN today where several UVM players have already contacted Trimper.

I wonder if he would have any interest in this 2009/2010 UVM recruit:

Can we get the obvious choice in milo? if we doesn't mind passing up on thier hockey program

I'd rather a proven D1 America East pitcher although we could use another lefty to the mix as Tal points out often :)
