Unless your daughter attended between 1968 and 1986, I doubt you have anything referring to Orono in the institution's name. During that era, the only logo or emblem that referred had Orono on it was the University crest. The athletic department never used any logo that had an O or said Orono. It's only ever been Maine, just look at the retro bear that's made its rightful return.

And another MBR thread devolves in to the abyss and we have fully moved off the topic at hand which was do any of the Maine Men's departed staff have new jobs.

True. But I'm sure if any of them had jobs, they would have been posted in here by now.

Reminder: June 29th 5th post down on page 3 on this thread posted by "cantdothat" entitled "Tyler Schlegel" hired as an assistant coach at D-3 Bridgwater College. Only one as of right now that has a coaching job that know of for the remaining 3 Walsh, Simon and Gray.

Any new news?

Oh make no mistake there are rumors about where Coach Walsh's next job will be, but nothing has been officially or formally announced yet.

My son attended UMO in the early 70's and it will always be UMO to me. I still have a navy blue sweatshirt that he gave me back then that has UMO in white letters on the front.
