My follow-up post was to only express that my limited experience indicates that players who make a verbal decision in their junior year are free of that stress and it allows them to focus entirely on their final high school season. For many, that is winning a championship without the distractions. Like bcbc55, what we do like is the current focus on giving Maine's best players a chance to play at our only D1 school.

I found Coach Walsh to be a very personable and insightful man when I had opportunities to communicate with him. In total speculation, he realized he may not be extended and chose not to extend offers without knowing if he would be their coach. Leave the slate clean for next coach if not him.
