Students should get in free. Be encouraged to go. Write a 1 page essay on your experience and get extra points on your grades. Whatever it takes. Bring them by the busload until the fire marshall says to knock it off.

University should be challenging students to bring signs and do whatever they can to support the team and get on TV, that is why ESPN broadcasts these league championship games to begin with. Hope the U doesn't miss on this one, this should be a crazy environment, not typical of most games!!!

Break starts Friday at 5pm. First 200 students get in free, but after that it's $5. The conference made the University pay for the 200 giveaways, but honestly, I don't think they'll be used up. Kids seem to peace out ASAP on Friday, if they even go to class at all. The fact that there's no designated student section at the CIC is a problem. They need some legitimate portable bleachers on the open end, not the leftover deathtraps from the Bangor State Fair.

The atmosphere is only what we make of it. If you're pissing enough old people off around you, you're doing it right.

So there is no student section, that is terrible!!!
Therefore they will scattered in with the rest of the fans? Here is the one chance to show a national audience that we can support our only D1 school. We have known since the Albany victory that there was a strong chance this game was going to happen. That was two weeks ago and the university rents the CIC for close to 30 games they certainly could have gotten portable bleachers and put the students at one of the baskets where they could be seen and make some noise. Mr. Diamond, if you are seeing this please respond that you are doing something along these lines so the students can have a positive impact in cheering and supporting our team and university!!!

The 200 seats in the front of Section 117 are reserved for the first 200 students, whose tickets we will pay for. Any students after that will have to purchase a ticket ($5 with student ID) at the box office.

John, thanks for that quick response. That is awesome, I saw that 1/2 that section was reserved. I am in 116 so hoping they can act as crazy and loud like many of the D1 schools do that ESPN broadcasts from. ;)

Thanks John for that info. Per usual the mbr posters filing judgements based on assumptions. Hope they don’t get jury duty or some innocent soul will be on death row!! Looking forward to Friday,

As long as the accused are not from UMaine...they will be OK.
