If they did it with 3s...it doesn't count!

Seriously....congrats to the few dozen long suffering fans in the stands as well as the players & coaches!

Oh it hurts to see Wesly Myers dropped 5 three pointers and finished with a game high 22 pts against the # 20th ranked team in the country tonight........@ Florida

mainejeff: They did it by reducing the number of 3's they took as FGA's. Going into the game they were taking 43.4% of their FGA's as threes and tonight they only took 33.3% (19 of 57) which allowed for them improving their 3 point percentage from 29.1% coming into the game to 36.7% tonight. This attempts per game and only too 19 tonight

Also, it sure didn't hurt that Walsh only used 6 players double figure minutes instead of the usual 12. This is increased the playing time for the better players by having them on the floor 50% more of the time.

Good win and yes, the first thing I noticed was that they used a much tighter rotation (per bcbc's advice), less three's and...they made all their free throws. Good job!

fromthebench: Thanks: First time that I can remember that this coaching regime (supervisers of substitutions) used just that few players in a rotation. Only used 6 and when Er returns they could stay at 6 and take Araujo out of the rotation or keep him in and use 7 or maybe play Evans in his spot as he is not much of an offensive threat.

In fact, I think Bernstein was a better contributor all around as he could shoot and take it to the basket.

Can't believe they gave Araujo a scholarship and wouldn't give one to Ryan Bernstein who helped out so much last year in a tough situation as a walk on.....ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAD SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE, BUT JUST NOT ONE FOR BERNSTEIN AND HE REALLY EARNED ONE BUT WAS NOT REWARDED FOR HIS DEDICATION AND HARD WORK.

Elevator, elevator he got the shaft.

Do you think Er will start when he returns? He should have been starting all along, second best offensive threat Maine has and best inside man (seeing they didn't develop Antoms) and Fleming is playing out of position and it has really effected his play. He turns it over too much for his position especially with all the traveling, he needs a suitcase.

Agree on all points and play your best players till they drop! Maybe they are listening. If so, get Moss signed quickly at the very least as insurance if Calixte bolts. Hope for the best, plan for the worst I say.
