Anyone heard of DeRohn Mitchell. Looks like Maine has Medium interest in this guy....

Well at least one is prepared to take a chance...for next year...another point guard could

help...

basketball_guy: Call me at 207-356-6787 I'll be up til 2:00am.

Maine needs another BIG not another point guard.

This current coach (supervisor of substitutions rotation) recruiting will hurt the new incoming coach if they sign anyone. Maine only has one scholarship available next year and that is Er's, unless Garvey Melmad got one then it would be 2 as ER and Melmad are the only seniors.

When does Walsh's 4 year contract end? Must be late May or early June as he signed in late May. That put's new coach if there is one behind in the recruiting process, but if they only have Er's 1 scholarship then it is not a problem.

However, I would like to see Maine and Er try to get his year back like Calixe did. Appeal to NCAA that Er only played 11 games last year and only this year in addition as he is a JUCO transfer as a junior last year and after all he is an international player. Maybe the NCAA would give him a wavier for next year and then their wouldn't be any scholarships available unless Melmad??????? But, if no one left if a new coach is named they would have a pretty good talented group returning. If Walsh stays I could see more transfers in the spring.

How about not giving Ryan Bernstein a scholarship? Yet, gave one to Araujo who is not as good as Bernstein was as a walk on.

But, as a fifth year senior can't Calixte transfer and play immediately? With his stats he's an attractive free agent.

He's a two star recruit like Moss, Fleming etc. Realistically this is the type of guy we can get and if he stays till he's a Junior we could reap the rewards.
