Completely agree, Dunbar. Tie game in overtime, and it's like a church in there. Awful atmosphere.

Tough loss for the Bears...too many turnovers (25). Fortunately, it's only early January and not tournament time.

Average age of the fan base is 72. The Cross Center is a nice facility, but the atmosphere is terrible for college basketball. This fan base treats a basketball game like they are at the movie theater. Nice bunch of people who don't dare make a peep.

That is why Maine should play their home games at the "PIT". It worked out fine for their tip off tourney this years with those other 3 D-1 teams and it was fine for the men's game with St. Joe's.

Cut the rental and transportation costs to play at the CIC and have some basketball atmosphere for a change. If they put the bleachers back on the side of the court opposite the bench and table they probably could seat around 2000. When there were bleacher son both sides it used toseat 2300. Plus, Maine would finally have a home court advantage instead of playing in that crowd nuetral Bangor Morgue.

Must have been that horrendous 3-point shooting.

Oh, wait: Maine shot 40.7% on 3's and only 36% on 2's.

Maybe 55 will start advocating for the Maine women to take more three-pointers!
