UMaine women 2-2 (UMFK game does not count in official D-1 RPI's) ranked 209 out of 349 teams in realtimerpi.com RPI rankings and the American East Conference is ranked 21st of the 32 D-1 conferences.

Kenneshaw University women 2-5 are ranked 175 in the same RPI rankings and the Atlantic Sun Conference is ranked 12th in conference RPI rankings.

Still would look for a UMaine win as Kenneshaw got beat 89-35 Friday in the other Miami Thanksgiving Classic game Friday in Coral Gables, Florida by Maryland and Maine lost to UMiami 80-70.

Team Stats:.FG%......3P%.....FS%...T0.....A...OPPG.DPPG
Maine........43.2%....31.0%...65.5%.18.9..16.7.70.0..56.2
Kenneshaw..32.9%....16.3%..67.3%..21.3.. 6.2.48.8..72.5

The stats certainly would favor Maine but the RPI team and Confrence RPI rankings favor Kenneshaw State.

Each team has only 1 player averaging double figures per game. Kamlyah Street 14.4 for KS and Blanca Millan 19.8 for UM as she has scored 20 or more points in all of Maine's 4 games.

Game time for Maine -Kenneshaw is 2:30pm on Sunday, November 26.

Sorry to be nitpicky, but Maine's official record is 3-2 (the UMFK game counts). RPI is just one metric that reflects a team's relative strength of schedule. It is not used to determine a team's official record.

MaineBBfan99: That is OK. But the end of season rankings of RPI only counts D-1 games as is the case right now currently in Pomeroy Rankings and realtimerpi.com.

The final RPI that the NCAA uses to seed D-1 teams for the big dance the non D-1 games do not count in any way as wins or losses towards a teams RPI that is used for the final seedings for the big dance for with the men or women..

Maine women hammer Kenneshaw State 75-39. Maine moves to 3-2 and Kenneshaw state fall to 1-6. Maine lead at the end of 1, 22-12, half-time 42 to 21, end of 3, 60-32 and a final of 75-39.

Wadling lead Maine with 17, Brousseau had 16, Sutton 12 and Millan 11. Gianula with a dozen and Street and Young each had 11.

Maine out rebounded KS 40-33.
Maine had only 7 turnovers to KS's 20
Maine outscored KS in the paint 30-18
Maine's bench outscored KS's 19-0
Maine shot 46.7% from the floor to KS's 28.4%
Maine went 8-23 for 34.8% from 3 point land while KS went 3 of 10 for 30%
From the Line Maine went 7-10 70%, KS 6-14 for 42.9%
Maine had 18 assists KS 11
Turnovers Maine only 7 KS 20

Maine completely outplayed KS even though KS was ranked ahead of Maine in the realtimerpi RPI ratings going into the game.

Mine's better game stats going into the game held up much better than KS's RPI rankings.

Maine's record is 4-2. Non-DI games do not count towards RPI. They DO count towards official records. You can ignore this if you want and cite an incorrect record, but it doesn't make it true.

Great to see Fanny Wadling playing with confidence. She had a terrific game.

I was nervous about Saar not being able to play, but relieved that Maine was able to get the win without her. Hope she fully recovers soon.

And a nice double-double by Sutton (plus almost one by Wadling) to boot. Overall, a productive trip to Miami IMO.

bcbc55 - where are you getting the record for Kennesaw State? You have them at 2-and-6. Why are you counting their win against an NAIA opponent (Thomas University of Georgia)?

If you want to correct Maine's record constantly you should also correct all records of all teams across the nation.

Unless you are being nit picky with Maine just because you hold some sort of personal grudge or vendetta.

Absolutely!

Bob...please correct records of all men's & women's teams that Maine plays from now on because most of them have D2/D3/NAIA teams on their schedule. Thanks in advance!
