Back to the drawing board.

612

I said it a long time back, "Who's next?" Since that time we have lost Cohen, Cosgrove, Creech, and Picucci? Can anyone see the writing on the wall? I at least thought Jack was a long-timer who would stick with the program. Who's running the offense now? Does anyone know? Who's next to leave?

The writing on the wall? You mean.. Maine has Assistant coaches that NFL teams want to hire? Yeah.. the good ship Black Bear is taking on water. What is your point exactly? It's been 3 days.. I am sure they will hire someone to run the offense before spring practice starts. How long do you think they should take?

Nick Charlton, Maine's receivers coach and special teams coordinator, would be a logical choice to step up to the OC spot.

UMaine’s Demby ready to perform at NFL combine
The offensive tackle is just the sixth Black Bear to be invited to the combine.

Normally it doesn’t take much for Jamil Demby to stand out in a crowd. After all, he stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 335 pounds.

But this week he might have to do something special to be noticed. Demby, a senior offensive tackle last fall at the University of Maine, is participating in the NFL combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The combine, where prospective NFL players are tested and work out for teams, began Tuesday and runs through Monday. His workout day is Friday.

Demby is just the sixth UMaine football player to be invited to the combine since 1990. He knows what he has to do.

“Stay with my tunnel vision,” he said. “And keep grinding.”

Harasymiak praises Demby ahead of NFL Combine showcase

...Demby, who was a fringe draft candidate following the season, has spent the winter conditioning and training in California. His former head coach Joe Harasymiak said he believes that was a huge catalyst improving his game.

"To change your body, you have to make a huge commitment," Harasymiak said ahead of the combine. "Because as a college kid, that's your diet. That's what you're doing on the weekend, doing the right things. It speaks volumes to what type of kid he is."

Demby is also expected to participate in Maine's Pro Day later this month

Has Josh Mack still not found a landing spot?

He might have thrown away two more years of national accolades and a pretty good shot at the NFL. Ouch!

You can't play if you are academically ineligible.

I was perusing the roster last night and noticed a couple of things...

I did not know that kicker Brandon Briggs was a senior last season. That sucks. No wonder they brought in the Maryland transfer for a visit.

RB recruit DaeJuan Sanders is not on the 2018 roster. He might still be committed but ineligible(?). Either way...not good news for the running game. Hopefully Fitzpatrick and Davis-Ray are ready to have big seasons.

Holy crap, 2 running backs on the roster?
Who was the LB we had to put at RB 2 or 3 yrs for the lack of RB's?
I am sure the coaching staff will do everything they can to address this it just seems nuts to me it could happen again
