Bourg's did some good things for us -especially in '13. Good for him.

Here is the link for the football teams practice and scrimmage schedule. Unfortunately all the scrimmages are 2:15 weekday so will rely on the local fans for updates, GO BLUE!!!

This fired me up a little. I am pretty optimistic about this season. The schedule is an embarrassment, but this team should be able to still come out with a playoff worthy record despite it.

Thanks Bam, great interview with Coach H. I agree that our defense could be real nasty and fast.
THe first 4 games are a killer and almost forces us to have to beat UNH to have any chance of making the playoffs. Then two FBS games and the Ivy league champion at their home opener, ouch. This has to be toughest first 4 games ever!!!!

I think it’s a safe bet that this will be the last time we have only four home games. The two FBS games are fine in a twelve game year, but only then. Basically, Creech’s insistence on two FBS games not only screwed us out of the fifth home game, but is also the reason we don’t play Stony Brook this year. The administration was so concerned over welcome weekend that they forced the New Hampshire game to Thursday due to “public safety concerns”. No students on campus for New Hampshire or Villanova (fall break). It’s screwed with our home schedule, our non-con schedule, and the whole conference schedule as well. The worst part is that Joe had absolutely no say on the matter.

This has to be the worst schedule in school history...maybe in FCS history. I hope the team never has to put up with this again and also hope we can be competitive in the FBS games and maybe spring an upset. Looking forward to the season!

In a miracle at CAA Media Day, Maine is picked higher than ninth in the preseason poll.

Bears picked eighth.

Wow, Maine being picked 8th after finishing 4-6 last year is not bad as we all know we don't get the respect we deserve. Two players picked first team all league- Earnest Edwards at WR and Mozai Nelson on defense. I don't ever recall us being picked picked higher than 6th even when we won the league in 2013.
Really think that Drew Belcher could have a huge year at TE as he is up to 260lbs. Like everyone nervous at RB and Coach did not even mention the redshirt RB Ramon Jefferson, not sure if he is being coy or if we are all in with Joe Fitzpatrick.

Edwards was actually named as a Kick Returner
Mozai Nelson as a " Specialist"
Kayon Whitaker for Defensive Line

3 total. Not bad for a team that gets basically zero respect in the poll. A lot of people who voted in that poll will have egg on their face come December.
