Stony Brook appears to be in even with a loss in Orono on Saturday.

42 and rain for Saturday. Should be a hell of a time...

UMaine's Micah Wright to undergo ACL surgery Wednesday

...Wright tore his ACL in the team's game against Delaware Nov. 4, and will undergo surgery to repair his knee Wednesday. Head coach Joe Harasymiak confirmed the news Tuesday, and said the team is hopeful Wright will be ready to return in time for summer camp in either late July or early August.

"The way he came back, he scored every single game," Harasymiak said Tuesday. "For a kid that didn't do any of the workouts, didn't get to be with his teammates a lot, and to be able to go out there and play at that level without that training, just shows how much of a talent he is."

UMaine football to play for the seniors Saturday

ORONO - Even with the playoffs being out of reach, Maine football has much to play for in Saturday's season finale.

The Black Bears, at 4-5, will play for a chance to even the record at .500. They will have a chance to play spoiler for a Stony Brook team that is still locked in a playoff race. And they will play for the seniors.

Maine football notebook: Black Bears can play role of spoiler in finale
With playoff hopes long dashed, Maine looks to finish at .500 with a win against nationally ranked Stony Brook on Saturday.

ORONO — Dakota Tarbox is taking a little extra time to appreciate practice this week. He’s a senior defensive end for the University of Maine, which will play its final game of the season at noon Saturday against Stony Brook at Alfond Stadium.

“During the week I’m just trying to cherish every moment,” said Tarbox, who comes from Dayton and played at Thornton Academy in Saco. “I want to send it off in the good way and get a W to finish the season.”

This isn’t the way the Black Bears hoped the season finale would play out. Their playoff hopes were dashed Nov. 4 in a 31-17 loss to Delaware.

Somewhat fitting that with the end of Mike and Mike this week, we get the Battle for the Butter VI. I'm still astounded on how Cosgrove botched a very easy PR and exposure opportunity.

Good call Dunbar, here is the link about Cozzy's botched interview

I would have like the Mobsters vs the Lobsters, not sure SBU would have liked it
