We are now down to single digits. Today’s countdown features Chris Bec (@bec_says), Senior catcher of Miami, FL. Last year Chris threw out 50% of runners and hit .340. He was recently placed on the preseason All Conference Team. 9 days! #bethebeast

I was pleasantly surprised by this news. Hopefully, they can live up to expectations...and more.

Admittedly, I haven't done a ton of research on the other programs, but with the returning players Maine has and the additions to the coaching staff, this should be a championship caliber team. Pitching needs to stay healthy, but I think they will play exceptional defense and score a bunch of runs. Hosting the tournament should add some incentive as well. Win the thing in front of the home crowd.

Bam, what would you constitute a successful season for UMaine baseball?

Has anyone seen a season preview from the Bangor Daily News? This seems like an annual rant, but good grief. 24 hours from Game 1 of the season and nothing. If I missed it, please post a link here.. I'll wait.
