OT: New Hampshire's "Record" Crowd

Postby dunbar » Sun Sep 24, 2017 8:12 am

Preface:

-Wildcat Stadium holds 11,015.
-New Hampshire requires a game ticket to enter tailgate, regardless of whether the ticket holder goes through the stadium gates.
-This photo was taken early in the second quarter:

Reported Attendance: 22,135

That's just plain fraudulent. I don't know how the conference and NCAA let's them get away with this year after year.

You could make the argument that fraudulent attendance records could be used to lure recruits and/or ad money. That affects Maine. But I really don't care - to your point.

I agree i Have been to many games that where reported with attendance t was not near correct. I think it is for recruiting and other financial purposes. No way there over 20k there.

UNH reports tickets sold. It is what it is.
Dunbar, you need to let go of your UNH obsession.

little ole unh has to use bull$hit like this to make themselves feel better. As a school, they have never won anything, so if they win the attendance trophy, they will have something. If a player, or recruit can't figure out this is flaming manure, they probably deserve to go to unh in the first place.

He may a tad obsessive on the ticket sales but I think it points more to a huge difference between UNH and Maine. You guys charge $50/car to tailgate for homecoming, Maine charges $0/car. You guys still manage to sell 22K plus tix and I betcha the tailgating was full to the gills.
After seeing a kid or two get carted away from the tailgating area in an ambulance for having too much "pregame" at your place and the trash after the game just let's say there are major differences in how school handle some their extracurricular activities ;)
