Horrible! So disappointing!

With the exception of TWO positions (quarterback and kicker) Maine is one of the strongest teams in the entire FCS. They are so hamstrung by the inability of the quarterback to make a play. I realize he's a freshman, and from that perspective he's not the worst, but he's not a dynamic player and puts absolutely no pressure on the defense. I don't know what the answer is but is so upsetting to see this season potentially wasted when UMaine could be a top 10 FCS team with even an average quarterback.

Obviously the kicking game has been bad and cost them a win in week 1 when they outplayed NH but that's already a given.

I could go on and on... playcalling horrendous (why run the ball with a backup qb from first and goal on the 2 when you have one of the best rb in the country and a huge offensive line...)

I just hope they can make this a game somehow. Open up the playbook! Put pressure on the defense. From a talent standpoint Maine SHOULD NOT be outclassed this game.

The Belcher fumble is simply astounding. I'd like to know why that was ever thought of as a good play call.

This game should be 14-7 at the very least.

3 INT's . What needs to happen before we see Staver?

OK so maybe Staver is not the answer either. Looks like Maine lacks a FCS caliber QB and maybe lacks FCS caliber coaches as well. Why is Edwards not more involved in the offense? Pretty discouraging to see the season in the toilet before they play their second home game.

Absolutely!

Obviously the quarterback play has been bad all season. I was hoping that Ferguson could just be a "game manager" type and they could ride the talent in other positions to a good season.

However, I'm really questioning the coaching of this team as well. How many stupid penalties and simple football fundamental errors have we seen in four games? Generally really sloppy play all season.

Again, its sad that we seem to be wasting a really good team which bad quarterbacking, coaching and kicking.

Have to go 6-0 the rest of the way to make playoffs. :/
