Maine picked to finish 9th. I sincerely hope they are higher than this by years end.

Maine also put 4 players on the preseason team.

We never get any respect in these pre-season polls. In reality I think I would have picked us 5 or 6. I am pretty sure we were picked at the bottom last yr and managed a 4th place finnish.
Quite surprised to see 4 first team players which is 2nd only to JMU. Now if the QB position with Staver at the helm can be better than average and the DL holds it own I see no reason we can't be as good as last year or better. ;)

I agree with you. I think the polls got it wrong. This should be a good motivation for the players. The team returns a lot of strength on both sides of he ball. Coaches got the first season under their belt. They should jell this season. I think we will be impressed with the product on the field this year. I believe we will be in the top 3!
