Mississippi State, Duke, Ohio State, Miami, Tulane, Toledo & BC plus possible games with Maryland & Dayton...WOW! That's a major OOC schedule right there.

That being said...home schedule sucks. Major disappointment having tourney in Orono after last seasons big time atmosphere at the CIC. One step forward...2 steps back. D-3s are a joke but unfortunately expected these days.

You're right, MJ. Good strong OOC schedule, adding Duke, Ohio State and UMiami. But not much for us to look forward to in Bangor. Let's hope that means OSU in in for the tournament next year and that Joanne is bringing back the Dukies in '18-'19. Maybe finally get the 'Canes up here, too. That could make a tournament as good as last year's, with OSU and UMiami. In the Cross Center, of course.

I'm already booking my train tix for some of those big-time games for '17-'18.

I am not ruling out a trip to Starkville. I am burning a lot of vacation miles for Fenway and Lubbock (twice) for Maine sports already, so not sure if a WBB game in Mississippi will work.. but I am going to effort that.

Hockey's finalized. November 18 is the Portland game against Boston University. Also on that same day, football hosting Stony Brook, Elton John in Bangor, and HS football states at Fitzy.

That'll draw really well...

Bam, Walt White, I'm working on a trip to Starkville and Durham. Hitch is getting Starkville to Durham in time for Duke game. I don't fly any more, so I need to find alternatives.

If I can pull it off and Bam is in Starkville, we can exchange notes on Oklahoma, where my late dear wife grew up. It is possible, Walt, that I could carpool with you coming back from Durham, if that would work.

There is a way to exchange private messages on this board, I believe, but I don't know how to do it. So, if either of you emails me at bobneal@myfairpoint.net, I'll reply and maybe we can get together to watch some women's hoops.
