I wonder if she is in a relationship with the BU coach? That's one of the only justifications I can think of for the hyper adulation heaped upon her for a horribly underachieving record as an collegiate assistant and head coach.

Former UMaine star earns coaching promotion at Boston University

... Blodgett, who turned an outstanding playing career at Lawrence High School in Fairfield into another one at UMaine, scored a state-record 2,596 career points in high school and led the nation in scoring in two of her four years with the Black Bears.

With another Lawrence alum in Nia Irving playing a prominent role in BU’s rotation, the Terriers posted an 11-7 record in the Patriot League last winter, the team’s highest conference win total since leaving America East for the league in 2013.

After her playing days at UMaine, Blodgett played four seasons in the WNBA and also spent time playing professionally in Korea and France.

Blodgett’s coaching career started in earnest at Brown University as an assistant in 2005 before being hired by her alma mater in 2007. She was a graduate assistant at BU during the 1999-2000 season.
