Maine is Division I school.
Delaware is a Division I school.

There's no almost about it.

Just wear your BC sweatshirt to the game and you'll feel like a big boy. ;)

If the city of Portland is going to allow Maine to play football on November 4th, why limit them to the sub par facility that is Fitzpatrick.. Why not play at Hadlock Field?

Maine is D1 in name only.
They keep putting a second rate sports product on the field, pitch ,diamond, gridiron, etc! You can't pay a good coach what he/she would get else where. Ever since they cut volleyball and kept woman's ice hockey . Women's ice hockey is dying and volleyball is growing nation wide.
Let's just go DIII and let local kids play .
Until we can recruit a 6'4" 250 lb QB every two years from a Texas, Cal or Florida HS ,football is dead in Maine!

Yeah, that was a real watershed event and the final nail in the coffin !!!

But gotta admit, Women's Beach Volleyball would definitely pack in the Frat boys and lots of otherwise lonely Mainahs !! Heck, probably even the Happily Married or otherwise attached, and certainly more than a bunch of female skaters dressed in heavy pads and helmets.?? Maybe we could combine the two, switch to roller skates, and call it something like ...... hmmmmm ???? ......
Roller Derby !!!??? That'd pack the Stands as well !!!
AYUHHH !!!!!! :D

Now Then, THANKS for the definite Belly-Laugh and then some, BUT ..... could we please just get back to the fact that UMaine Football is now scheduled to play two in Portland, Love It or Hate It (or don't really care ?).

??????

I hate that the Spring game is being played in Portland. A complete slap in the face to the loyal fan base (such as it is) in the Orono Campus area.
Not in love with playing any games in a 2nd rate high school " stadium" either, but the Spring game should be played ON CAMPUS. PERIOD.
