BZ: Here is how I would rate the scholarship players coming back skill wise. Don't know the ability of the 2 transfers.
Hopefully they are better than some of the scholarship players listed below..

1. 6'2' Myers senior guard
2. 6'6" Er senior forward
3. 6'7' Fleming soph forward
4. 6'1" Calixe junior point guard
5. 6'2" Howard senior guard
6. 6'5" Evans sophomore guard
7. 6'8" Eze sophomore center
8. 6'0' Bernstein junior point guard if given scholarship
9. 6'1" McKennon sophomore guard
10. 6'7" Stojilijaovic junior forward

11. 6'5' White sophomore guard JUCO Transfer..Played last year
12. 6'5" Majstorovic sophomore guard transfer from LaSalle
Had to sit out last year.. Did not get many minutes last year at LaSalle. He played at Lee Preppers with Calixe and Ilija S. two years ago.

Walkons
13. 6'1" Ashley Sophomore guard
14. 6'1" Melmad Senior guard
15. 6'0" Ward Senior guard

12 scholarship players
3 walkon
15
1 available scholarship
16

11 guards 1 center 3 forwards 1 scholarship available hopefully a BIG @ 6'9" 230lbs.

RIGHT NOW NO INCOMING FRESHMEN and only new players are the 2 transfers (JUCO and LaSalle transfers). Only senior lost that played was 6'9" Forward Marco Pirovic along with injured seniors 6'6" forward Garrett Beal and 6'2" guard Troy Reid-Knight

Good for him. He will do well in D2/D3 and have a chance for a positive college basketball experience (PT & winning) for a couple of years.

dunbar: Does that mean he didn't get a scholarship this season after playing his freshmen and sophomore years as a non scholarship player?

PG: Gould Academy (Bethel) Skyler Nash commits to Vermont.. Looks like Maine offered...

UVM lands prized recruit to round out 2017 freshman class

The University of Vermont men's basketball team nabbed a sought-after recruit Thursday to round out its 2017 freshman class.

Shooting guard Skyler Nash, a Chicago native with a 3-star ESPN rating, announced his commitment to the Catamounts on his Twitter page. The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Nash will join a freshman class that includes forward Bailey Patella, guard Stefan Smith and forward Ra Kpedi, who committed to UVM on Wednesday.

Maine Fans:

That makes Vermont men's 4 freshmen recruits UMaine men's freshmen recruits 0.

Looks like Maine is going for the fast fix by going the JUCO route again this year as right now their only signee is JUCO player 6'5" guard Isaiah White who will be a sophomore.

If Bernstein leaves as rumored here on MBR then Maine has 2 schollies left and it is said here on MBR they have offered anotherJUCO 6'5" guard for next year but not yet signed.

Just what Maine needs another guard!

If this guard then signs they will have 12 guards available out of their 16 man roster and only 4 front court players.

! center, EZE and 3 forwards Er, Ilija S. and Fleming.

So if this additional JUCO signs and Bernstein is gone then Miane still has 1 scholarship available to hold out for a BIG at 6'9" 230 unless there are more transfers.

Maine needs BIGS not more 6'5 guards.

According to NERR, Maine has offered a big! 6'10 Center Miks Antoms from Lee Prep. Checked out some video and he is a true low post center with solid offensive moves on the low block. Shows a decent touch out to 15 feet. I'd say he's in the 230-240 range. A bit slow footed but a decent looking prospect.
