I mean, internet slang/abbreviations can be whatever they want to be right? IMO, IMHO, TFW, FWIW, etc. But when you read a title that says: "Have any of the departed Men's BB staff HAVE found jo" don't you get a little triggered? I dunno...it's a simple fix. Like Nike says, just do it.

D1 often go to where they think they will play right away, no other offers and have visions of playing professionally. He did not recruit players who would buy what he was selling. The flipside is Barron recruited out of country players who bought his system. Says a lot on his ability to recruit.

Jeff Cross, Rick Carlisle and Paul Whooley always come to mind that UMO found great players that no one else saw.

You didn’t answer my question. What school are you trying to refer to?

UMO. That Coach Walsh thought he had the method and story line to turn the tide to winning. What he indicated was he did not understand you have to recruit the players willing to buy into his philosophy and therefore he had very little success in his messaging. By the time he figured it out, time to move on. At RIC they bought his messaging hook, line and sinker.

We're not UMO. UMaine or Maine. Not UMO.

I suppose the thing that is wrong with it is the same thing that is wrong with "ation" above. Neither exists. I mean, I don't see people refer to UNCCH, UMAA, UMM, UFG, UTK, etc. For those playing along, those would stand for North Carolina, Michigan, Minnesota, Florida and Tennessee. Despite those states having satellite campuses, the main campus/school does not use its' location in the abbreviation.

Times have changed and I missed it. I do have UMO clothing items from when my daughter attended. While they don't fit, the school use to sell with UMO logo's. However, agree that UMaine or Maine is preferred.
