#E75 Academic - Top 2019 Frontcourt Prospects

Our first look back at Sunday’s Elite 75 Academic Experience will begin in the class of 2019 where a few players, and one in particular, backed up their reputations while a group of others announced their arrival.

The best of the best was Brimmer & May’s Jordan Minor, who was still under the radar at this time last year. Since then though he’s improved by leaps and bounds, landed his first two D1 offers, and maybe even grown an inch or two. His physical prowess was immediately evident on Sunday but what was also impressive was that he played with no ego despite being one of the most dominant players in attendance. He was active on the glass, unselfish, and showing off some deceptive passing instincts.

#E75 Academic - Top Unsigned Seniors

After dealing with a back injury that kept him out of the spring and summer AAU circuit as a junior, Ryan ONeil, a product of The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut, has bounced back and gained momentum coming into the Elite 75 Academic Showcase at the MPlex in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Sunday. O’Neil credits his strong work ethic and attention to detail for his strong return off the injury. “After the injury, I really tried to just recover as fast and efficiently as possible cause I know how big of a period that was for recruiting.”

O’Neil is coming off one of his best seasons as a high school player. The seventeen point a game scorer and senior co-captain helped lead the Bearcats to a 14-9 overall record. Ryan received All-New England third team honors in his final year at Hotchkiss as well.

#E75 Academic – Top 2019 Perimeter Prospects

There was a deep collection of talented perimeter players in the class of 2019 at Sunday’s Elite 75 Academic Experience. Here’s a rundown of prospects that were identified by the staff of college coaches as having the potential to play at the next level:

Tedrick Wilcox (Rocky Hill) – One of the most impressive players of the day, Wilcox turned heads on Sunday with his combination of perimeter size, athleticism, and shot-making. He consistently knocked down three-pointers, including some from well beyond the line, but also showed some explosive finishing ability when attacking the basket.

#E75 Academic - Top Underclassmen

Our final look back at Sunday’s Elite 75 Academic Experience will examine the underclassmen that moved the needle in front of college coaches from numerous academic schools.

2020 Forwards
Ryan Michaels (Berkshire) – This 6-foot-6 forward made a big impression. The New York native has a polished and versatile offensive game to match his size. He was skilled, able to score with various maneuvers, and had use of both hands around the rim.

Justin Fitzpatrick (Burlington) – Best described as a jumbo wing right now, Fitzpatrick has great size at 6-foot-8, length, and athleticism that should eventually allow him to play multiple positions. He’s a volume scorer with an improved jump shot and all the natural tools necessary to become a top prospect in the coming years.
