Adidas Gauntlet Finale Day 1 Standouts - Guerrier, Brown, Walker and more shine

WHO SHINED ON DAY 1 OF THE ADIDAS GAUNTLET FINALE?

QUINCY GUERRIER | BROOKWOOD ELITE
With plenty of high major schools in attendance, Brookwood Elite small forward Quincy Guerrier came to play. Guerrier was dominant in the paint and consistently converted around the basket. He ending up finishing with 25 points on 9-15 shooting. The Canadian native also showed the ability to step out and knock down shots. His recruitment has skyrocketed this AAU season and with performances like these it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon

DANIEL BUIE | MASS RIVALS
Class of 2019 point guard Daniel Buie was as steady as you can be for Mass Rivals yesterday. Buie led Rivals with 14 points in a 77-65 win over the Michigan Mustangs. Buie controlled the tempo and created for himself off the bounce. He was a tough defensive assignment with his consistent jump shot and slashing ability. I would expect his offer list of UMass, Boston U and Vermont to grow in the near future.

Corey Evans' Under Armour Blog: Friday

ANTHONY EDWARDS IS OF A DIFFERENT KIND
Not many can score the ball quite like Anthony Edwards. One of the best that there is in the 2020 class, Edwards may not have recorded the over 30 points per game average that I had predicted earlier in the week but he also has not disappoint during his time in his home state this week.

A 6-foot-4 guard that has become a much better playmaker and defender within recent months, transforming from just a scorer and into a complete ballplayer, the star potential out of Edwards is among the best that the high school ranks can provide. He has a presence about him on the floor each time out and the ability to take over any given game with his scoring prowess thanks to the range on his jumper that extends to beyond the NBA 3-point stripe.

Whether it was on putback dunks, long range bombs, pick and roll dishes or shutdown defens applied on the perimeter, Edwards did not fail to contribute within every facet of the game on Friday. There is a special crop of guard prospects in the 2020 class bolstered by Jalen Green, RJ Hampton and Jalen Suggs, yet Edwards more than deserves a spot within the conversation of who the next greats could be

Adidas Gauntlet Finale Day 2 Standouts - Tshiebwe, Akok, Mobley and more shine

STANDOUTS FROM DAY 2 OF THE ADIDAS GAUNTLET FINALE

NEW YORK, NY – The Adidas Gauntlet’s second day in action had its fair share of standouts. It was interesting to see who kept the same energy they had on day 1. It comes as no surprise all of the prospects listed played with this type of energy. Here were some of the players who shined in day two’s games.

AKOK AKOK | MASS RIVALS

Mass Rivals forward Akok Akok had one of the best performances of the day yesterday. Potential is one of the first words that comes to mind when talking about Akok and he certainly showed why. With his versatility he attacked the defense in multiple ways. Syracuse, UConn, Providence and more were in to see him in action.
