2018 Dyckman Summer League
RecruitTheBronx.com took a trip to one of the most historic playgrounds in New York City, The Monsignor Kett Palyground in the Inwood section of Manhattan. This is better know as The Dyckman Tournament, a battleground for talent to be either made or exposed. If one can hold his own at Dyckman, he has game. Here are the standouts who we saw.
July 5
Malachi Smith (2021) 5'11 shooting guard High School: St Raymonds Dyckman Team: The Program - A player who goes to the hole at all times, needs to show jump shot skills in order to be attractive at the collegiate level. Plays tremendous defense.
Samuel Davis (2018) 6'3 forward High School: Wadleigh Dyckman Team: WT Athletics - Very strong in the post. Knows how to muscle his way to the basket and is able to get rebounds. At his height, the college game would also require perimeter skills.
Anthony Monti (2018) 5'6 point guard High School: St Raymonds Dyckman Team: The Program - A diminutive guard who speeds up and down the court. Great at distributing the ball. Will need to have deep-ball shooting range to keep the offensive lanes open at the next level
