Cabassa Earns Scholarship

Holderness School senior forward Daniel Cabassa made a verbal commitiment to Post University last Thursday, accepting a full athletic scholarship offer from the NCAA division II school.

The New York native had accumulated multiple scholarship offers over the course of his senior season but Post was the very first to offer back in September shortly after he wrapped up his summer with the D.C. Blue Devils.

Brady NESCAC Bound
Will Brady 2017

Vermont Academy senior guard Will Brady is headed to Tufts University next season to continue his basketball career in the NESCAC.

A Connecticut native who spent two seasons in Saxtons River, Brady has improved exponentially over that time and proven himself to be a valuable contributor at a very high level of competition.

He helped VA earn the 2016 NEPSAC AA title and followed that up with a second consecutive twenty win campaign in 2016-2017.

Commitment Catch-Up
Garrett Stephenson 2017

It's a busy time of year on the recruiting front as players are coming off the board at a rapid rate while others are having second thoughts and re-opening their recruitment.

Lost amidst some of the shuffle has been several other commitments, all of which are equally impactful at their respective levels.

Commitment Catch-Up

The class of 2017 is gradually winding down and that means players have started coming off the board at a rapid rate. Here's a look at some that have come across the wire in the last week.

MacDuffie swingman Jake Kakar accepted a full athletic scholarship to division II Barton College in North Carolina. He picked up his offer in late March while on their campus for his official visit and signed a National Letter of Intent this past Thursday. Kakar is a shot-maker with a high release and a definite weapon from behind the three-point line. He began his career at Brockton High School before spending last season at Lexington Christian and running with Expressions Elite in the Nike EYBL.

Commitment Catch-Up

While the class of 2018 and beyond are busy this weekend with the opening of the live period, commitments continue to come at a rapid rate in the class of 2017.Here’s a rundown of what we’ve seen in the last week alone:Worcester Academy senior guard Jack Zimmerman is headed to the NESCAC where he’ll star at Connecticut College. The New Hampshire native has improved exponentially over the last year and generated some Ivy League interest over the summer. He’s an athletic playmaker who should have a great opportunity to make his presence felt from day one with the Camels.Commonwealth Academy ...

Commitment Catch-Up: Turner-Morris Staying in New England

Khalea Turner-Morris came to New England for a post-graduate year in hopes of growing his recruitment and now he'll stay in New England for the next for years.

The Louisiana made a verbal commitment to UMass earlier this week as newly appointed head coach Matt McCall continues to develop various pipelines into the home region.

The New Hampton School big man, who visited Saint Louis and Pacific in recent weeks, provides a big body at 6-foot-9 and 245 pounds as well as a physical interior presence who was one of the best big men left available on the road.
