Men's Basketball Announces Another Commitment for the 2018-19 Season for Seattle, Washington

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson men's basketball program continue to expand their geographic reach as they received a commitment from guard Isiah Hart from Seattle, Wash.

Hart, a 6-0 point guard, played last season at Federal Way High School for coach Jerome Collins. For the Eagles, he averaged five points, eight assists, and rebounds as the starting point guard. Federal Way finished 27-2 and lost in the 4A State Championship, 54-52, to Gonzaga Prep. As a junior, Hart played at Chief Sealth International High School, leading his team to a 13-10 record. Hart average 15 points, four assists, and five rebounds and was named team MVP. Additionally, during his junior year at Sealth, he was named tournament MVP at the Ballard High School Tournament, Kentridge High School Tournament, and Surf N Slam.

"Isiah is a very solid all around point guard. He handles the ball well, shoots the three, can play up tempo, and can run a team in the half court" says head coach Warren Caruso. "He's played a high level of basketball in his high school career, we believe he will transition very well to our program".

Hart joins Brett Cunningham (Harrah High School (Okla.), Ian McIntyre (Hampden Academy (Maine)), and Trey Sibert (Tampa Prep (Fla.)) in the Eagles 2018 recruiting class.

The Eagles finished with 19-7 overall record for their 34th conservative winning season, including a 15-3 mark in NAC play during the 2017-18 season, earning them NAC Regular Season Co-Champions, their 13th regular season title under Coach Caruso. The 19-7 snap a five year streak of 20+ win seasons as well as two straight trips to the NCAAs. The Eagles have appeared in six out of the last ten NCAA National Tournaments.
