Machias Memorial Grad. Mersereau to Continue Hoops Career at UMFK

MACHIAS, MAINE (WABI) - One of the major figures in the Machias Memorial boys basketball state title run this year, is heading to play college ball in state. James Mersereau is heading to UMaine Fort Kent to continue his basketball career. The Bengals are returning just 4 guys, after going 25 and 11, one of their best seasons in 30 years. James should be a good fit. Hopefully he'll grow some more both on and off the basketball court in the county. Tom Bird is pretty excited to get him. James is joined by Caribou's Andre Rossignol, as the Mainers, in UMFK's incoming class ... 78763.html

...Among those set to join coach Tom Bird’s Bengals this fall are two Maine high school products, James Mersereau of Machias and Andre Rossignol of Caribou, along with junior college additions from California, Florida, Michigan and Oregon.
