Gallagher tabbed Terrier male athlete of month for September
Former Camden Hills student-athlete excels on pitch for Thomas College

...Now, Gallagher toils in the collegiate ranks, and continues to see success on the field for Thomas College.

Gallagher, a 2016 Camden Hills graduate, now a sophomore with Thomas, was named the Terrier male student-athlete of the month for September.

Each month, the Thomas College athletic department selects one male and female student-athlete who excelled — with Gallagher the first male to nab the award for the 2017-18 school year.

The 5-foot 11-inch, 165-pound Gallagher played in all nine games for the Terriers over the month, as he started in eight on defense.

The sophomore tallied three goals on four shots, while adding an assist, for seven points during that span. He currently sits tied for second on the team in goals and 11th in the North Atlantic Conference.

Camels and Polar Bears Play to 0-0 Draw in Men's Soccer

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's soccer team played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer against Connecticut College en route to its first 0-0 tie since 2015.

The tie is the first of the 2017 season for the Polar Bears (10-3-1, 6-2-1 NESCAC). This is the furthest the Polar Bears have gone into a season without a tie since the 2008 campaign when they had zero. Bowdoin has had at least three ties in each of the last four years. The Camels sit at (9-1-4, 4-1-4 NESCAC) on the year.

Saturday's result ensures Bowdoin will host a NESCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday, October 28 at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears have a chance to claim the top seed in the conference if they defeat Tufts in their regular season finale on Tuesday.
