new WBB Northeast Region rankings... 3/1/17

NORTHEAST
1 Amherst 27-0
2 Tufts 25-2
3 Bowdoin 21-4 SOS 16
4 Babson 22-5 SOS 14
5 Keene State 21-7 SOS 100
6 Eastern Connecticut 20-8 SOS 33
7 Mass-Dartmouth 22-5 SOS 90
8 Husson 22-4 SOS 126
9 WPI 23-5 SOS 145
10 U. New England 23-5 SOS 220
11 Westfield State 19-8 SOS 76
12 St. Joseph's (Maine) 24-4 SOS 211

If you look at SOS then it becomes very apparent that no schools from Maine (other than Bowdoin of course) would have received an at-large bid if they didn't win their Conf AQ's. Husson, St Joe's, & UNE would most likely have been shut out with 20+ wins. That could have been a hard lesson to learn, just ask 23-5 WPI.

Keene State, of the Little East Conference, continues on to the Elite 8. They come from 8 down at the half to beat #2 Christopher Newport 68-64, on the Captains' home court.
