COLBY: EASTMAN, HALL, FIELDS COMBINE TO TAKE FOURTH

HANOVER, N.H. -- The relay team of Silas Eastman, Carter Hall, and Zane Fields placed fourth overall for the Colby College men's Nordic ski team in 3 x 5-kilometer racing on Friday at the Craftsbury Nordic Center.

The three skiers combined for a time of 37 minutes, 30.4 seconds. Eastman started out for Colby and had the best opening time at 12:12.9. Hall skied second and Fields had the anchor leg.

The Colby men placed third as a team with 96 points.

Olivia Amber, Skylar Tupper, and Amy Bianco combined to take ninth place for the Colby women in 44:36.3. Amber led off with a time of 14:13.7. The Colby women placed seventh as a team with 60 points.

ALPINE SKIERS HASKELL, BOARDMAN IN TOP 10 FOR COLBY

HANOVER, N.H. -- Mardi Haskell was seventh for the Colby College women's alpine ski team in the giant slalom and Michael Boardman took 10th for the men at the Dartmouth College Carnival at the Dartmouth Skiway on Friday.

Haskell had runs of 1:07.02 and 1:03.06 for a total time of 2:10.08. She helped the Mules finish in sixth place with 69 points. Jessica Reinhart took 31st for Colby in 2:14.38 and Sandra Schoepke was 33rd with a 2:14.55.

Boardman was 13th after the first run of 1:04.88 and moved up to 10th with a 1:00.67 for a two-run total time of 2:05.55.

Max Richard placed 29th for the Colby men in 2:07.34. The Mules were sixth with 62 points.

HASKELL THIRD IN SLALOM FOR COLBY WOMEN'S ALPINE SKIERS

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Colby College women's alpine ski team placed third overall behind a third-place finish in the slalom from All-American Mardi Haskell on Saturday at the Dartmouth College Carnival.

On the men's side, Max Richard had another top-20 finish by placing 17th for the Mules.

Haskell was fourth after her opening run of 49.70 and moved up to third after having a third-best second run of 51.07 for a total time of 1:40.77. She helped the Mules finish with 92 points and first among NESCAC schools.

Sandra Schoepke had another strong finish by taking 16th in 1:44.81, while fellow first-year Jessica Reinhart was 24th with a 1:47.34.

The Colby men also had three skiers in the top 24 in taking sixth place with 65 points. Richard took 17th with runs of 52.14 and 49.32 for a total time of 1:41.46. Jack Auty was 23rd in 1:42.97 and Michael Boardman was a place behind with a 1:43.05.

Amber had a time of 15 minutes, 55.9 seconds over the 5-kilometer course, while Amy Bianco was 16th with a 16:14.2.

Eastman clocked a 28:09.2 in the men's 10K race. Zane Fields was 14th in 28:24.6 and Andrew Egger finished in 26th at 29:12.7.
