UMaine-Presque Isle appear in USCAA poll

PRESQUE ISLE, Me (WAGM) - The USCAA coaches poll is out and the University of Maine Presque Isle has made it into both the softball and baseball rankings.

The softball team has the highest ranking ever in a USCAA Poll. The Owls are ranked third in the first poll of the season. St Mary's of the Woods and Carlow hold the first and second spots in the rankings.

Family-like atmosphere propels Owls to fast start

PRESQUE ISLE, Me (WAGM) - The University of Maine Presque Isle softball team is off to a great start so far this season. Right now the team is in the middle of a road trip that has the Owls playing 12 games in eight days. The Owls have been successful because they see themselves as one giant family.

Packard earns honors, but still focused on team success

PRESQUE ISLE, Me (WAGM) - University of Maine Presque Isle softball player Sara Packard continues to be honored with awards. The sophomore pitcher/infielder has been player of the week twice for the Association of Division III independents and once for the USCAA. Recently Packard was awarded the AD3I student athlete of the month. Packard has enjoyed the individual success, but still puts the team first.
