Allie Ablondi, a senior at Tourtellotte Memorial High School (Thompson, CT) has committed to play basketball for the Lady Mustangs this fall. Ablondi is a 2-time ECC 1st Team All-Star, and helped lead her team to an ECC Small Division Championship this season. The 2-time Norwich Bulletin All-Area selection, averaged 13.6 points per game over her final two seasons, helping the Lady Tigers to a 32-11 record over that time span.

According to Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, "Allie is a threat to score as soon..."

Swedish guard joining Lady Mustangs

Auburn, ME - Central Maine Community College women's basketball coach, Andrew Morong, has announced that Jasmine Gutenberg has committed to join the Lady Mustangs this fall.

"Seeing the success of multiple NE-10 schools and the University of Maine recruiting abroad, we wanted to expand our recruiting horizons as well," said Morong. "Having Jasmine be our first recruit from Europe is very exciting. She is a very outgoing young woman with high character and a passion for basketball. It is simply a great fit. Jasmine is a tremendous perimeter shooter with a great understanding for the game."

A 5'5" guard from Uppala, Sweden...

Women's Basketball lands top NH prospect

Lady Mustangs start 2nd Semester Off with Easy Win

Randolph, VT - In their first game of the 2nd semester, the Lady Mustangs dominated the Knights of VTC in the paint, and in transition to run away with a 81-51 Yankee Conference victory. CM had 4 players score in double figures, and rushed out to an 18-6 first quarter lead.

Freshman standout, Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME) led all scorers with a career high 23 points, including four 3's. Alex Rowe was dominant once again, finishing with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and a team high 5 steals, while Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) flirted with another triple-double with, 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. In her first full collegiate game, Taylor Esty (Rangeley, ME) also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Mustangs forced 25 turnovers and held VTC to just 20.8% shooting. CM also dominated the boards, winning the interior battle with a 54-28 rebound advantage.
Macy Welch (North Anson, ME) played a great floor game before suffering an injury, finishing with 7 points and 11 rebounds.

With the win, CM improves to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in the Yankee Conference. They will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Rutland, VT to take on the #1 ranked USCAA DII and defending Yankee Conference Champions, College of St. Joseph.
