If we are talking JUST high school, I think Craig Harvey of Bucksport, who was the Mr. Baseball in 2000, was a great one.

Xcheck: Beattie and Swift did, indeed play for South Portland. Bob Stanley was born in Portland but moved to New Jersey as a youngster. In an aside, Beattie's older brother George was drafted by the Yankees right out of high school in 1970.
