FR and Orthopeadic Assocites will be conducting a formal pitching seminar for coaches of all levels. “Building Pitchers for the Long Haul” is the first of it’s kind pitching training program that is simple enough for LL coaches yet provides technical challenges for the HS coach. The major focus of the seminar is understanding pitching and teaching it correctly. Video analysis of pitching motions from LL to a collegiate pitchers will be presented and a discussion will take place on what really happens during the pitching motion. Other topics include: what to change and what to leave alone, common faults and corrections, common injuries and soreness and what not to be alarmed about and how to improve your pitchers and make them more productive. The seminar will be conducted by Stan Skolfield of OA and Mike Coutts and Nick Caiazzo of Frozen Ropes. The event will take place at OA new facility 1t 15 Lunn St in Saco and will take place on January 11, 2009 from 11:00-3:00. Fee is $45.00. You can register by call Frozen Ropes at 878-2600.
