John Bapst hires former Bangor, UMaine swimmer as head coach

...“First and foremost, Sean is passionate about the sport and he wants to give back to the sport. He was adamant about the opportunity here,” O’Connell said.

“Sean was very articulate about his goals for swimming during the interview. He came in with a plan for our swimmers.”

MacMillan was a swimmer for coach Phil Emery at Bangor High, where he was a member of four state championship teams. He has assistant coaching experience with both age-group and high school swimming. MacMillan also competed for two years at the University of Maine under Jeff Wren.
