#E75 – Top Scholarship Prospects

Here’s a look at the prospects that generated the most buzz at those levels coming out of the event:

Christian Lorng, Putnam Science – The incoming PSA big man already has high-major offers on the table, but came to Elite 75 to announce his presence to New England and boy did he ever. He has incredible size with a chiseled frame and physical style inside the paint. He was a man among boys and should be ready to go once the fall comes around and he steps into the pivot spot for an...

Terion Moss, Portland – Stories like these are the ones that the Elite 75 is all about. Moss was already widely credited with being the best prospect in the state of Maine, but didn’t yet have a full scholarship offer to his name. That all changed by the time the night was done and it wasn’t hard to see why. He’s long and muscular, able to push the ball with the dribble or the pass, picks his spots to attack the basket, and also able to get his teammates involved.

#E75 - Breakout Performers

... While numerous players took advantage of that opportunity, here is a look at some guys that may not have been well-known when they arrived, but left having certainly made a name for themselves.

E.J. Dambreville, Woodstock Academy – There might not have been another player in the field who helped themselves as much as Dambreville. The Bridgewater-Raynham alum and incoming Woodstock Academy post-graduate was powerful, explosive, and had absolutely huge hands. He was an outstanding perimeter rebounder who could play multiple positions. There is an element of skill to his game as well as his shot has improved and he was more than capable of handling the ball and exploding to the rim. He established himself as a...

#E75 - Best of the Big Men

Our coverage from the Elite 75 College Showcase has already touched on some of the best big men in attendance. Incoming Putnam Science big man Christian Lorng was probably the best prospect in the building while Jarred Houston, Cantavio Dutreil, John Bella-Hunter, and Jared Whitt were also mentioned by scholarship level coaches as potential prospects for that level.

Meanwhile some of the event’s most notable stock-risers included the likes of Malik Lorquet, Jacob Godfrey, and Dillon Grant.

#E75 – Best of the Wings

...But there were plenty of others that seized the opportunity to impress the 70 college coaches in attendance as well. Here’s a look at some of the most notable:

Beau Smith, Trinity Pawling – The well-rounded guard literally did it all and walked away with new recruitment from both the NE-10 and NESCAC as a result. He knocked down a bunch of shots, showed he could initiate offense as a true guard, brought smaller defenders to the block, and even showed some bounce.

Jon Lyons, Vermont Academy – He’s had a really impressive spring showing off his scoring prowess, but he demonstrated some enhanced playmaking ability on Thursday night as he was creating for his teammates more than we have seen and throwing numerous dimes. He could be well on his way to becoming a true combo-guard.

Dimitry Moise, Trinity Catholic – Moise made a case for himself as a serious scholarship level candidate. He’s super athletic with a high motor. He was active defensively as well as on the glass and able to knock down open jumpers as well. Overall, he fits the prototype of an athletic “three-and-D” type wing in the making.

#E75 – Best of the Guards

...Here’s a look at who impressed:

Tyrone Perry, Woodstock Academy – A strong lead guard with great intensity, Perry looked bound for scholarship level recruitment. At 6-foot-3 he has great positional size along with plenty of sheer force. He showed an instinct to match his physical tools too as he made great rolls in pick-and-roll and consistently generated good looks.

Mykel Derring, Proctor Academy – The would-be rising senior is instead on his way to Proctor Academy and the class of 2019. He showed a blend of skill at athleticism here, throwing down some nice dunks off of two feet but also continuing to demonstrate why he is one of the more underrated shooters in New England.
