WHAT KNEE INJURY? ZION WILLIAMSON’S HOPS ARE COMING BACK!

16-year old high school phenom and viral dunk maker Zion Williamson has been resting a bruised knee since his appearance at the Adidas Gauntlet in late April. On Wednesday, he showed what a little rest can do by posting a few dunks on his Instagram account with the caption: “It’s coming back.” As evident from the off-the-wall dunks, his not 100% hops are twice as good as 90% of the players in the NBA.

If you need a reminder of how sick the hops were before the soon-to-be-forgotten injury, check out this our mixtape: Zion Williamson is NOT FROM THIS PLANET!!

Bryce Hamilton might be best 16-year-old senior in California

Bryce Hamilton of Pasadena doesn't turn 17 until November, making him a 16-year-old senior guard with immense basketball talent. He's the cousin of the Hamilton brothers -- Jordan, Daniel and Isaac.

"I think he's going to be the best Hamilton," Pasadena coach Tony Brooks said.

Hamilton, who's 6 feet 4 and shoots left-handed, put on a show on Monday in the opening game of the Fairfax tournament. He scored 25 points, including a couple of dunks, in Pasadena's 68-58 win over Loyola.

He looks stronger than last season, when he averaged 24.6 points.

"I've been in the weight room," Hamilton said. "It's helped a lot."

4-Star Taeshon Cherry has committed to #USC
http://rvls.co/CherryUSC

...Under Andy Enfield, recruiting has gone very well at USC. Friday afternoon, Enfield and the Trojans landed their highest ranked recruit yet, forward Taeshon Cherry.

The 10th four-star prospect to pick the Trojans since the class of 2014, Cherry is a skilled, versatile and athletic forward who has a long standing relationship with a key member of the Trojans staff in assistant Tony Bland. The relationship combined with USC's vision for Cherry's future and a recent unofficial visit added up to a commitment.

"I took an unofficial to USC last Friday and it just felt like home," Cherry told Rivals.com. "I’ve known coach Tony Bland since I was eight years old and it’s just been that familiarity with him as a coach and building a strong relationship with the rest of the coaching staff. USC’s style of play fits me best and they want me playing at the two, three and four position."

Ivy Bound Mitchell is a Bear

Belmont Hill School and Mass Rivals wing David Mitchell made a verbal commitment to Brown University on Thursday while on their campus for an unofficial visit.

Mitchell has been a frequent visitor to the Bears' campus in recent years as he has been a top priority for head coach Mike Martin and his staff dating back to his days as an underclassmen.

Mitchell took to his twitter account on Thursday afternoon to confirm his decision.
