Maine's newest elite women's distance runner keeps same dreams in a new state
Michelle Lilienthal has moved to Maine from Minnesota while preparing for the 2016 Olympic marathon trials.

When Saturday’s deep and talented field takes off at the 36th Freihofer’s Run for Women 5K in Albany, N.Y., it will include well-known Maine running standouts Joan Benoit Samuelson and Sheri Piers. It will also include the Portland area’s newest elite women’s distance runner.
